DANIEL JAMES BROWN is a writer and design educator. Born in Wichita, Kansas, he studied architecture and earned a graduate degree in graphic design from the University of Illinois Chicago. He is the founder of Mass Paperback, an independent press, and teaches courses on language, form, and digital media as a member of the design faculty at Northeastern Illinois University.
